A year-long, site-specific performance series created by Tedi Tafel

July

July’s performance takes place inside an enclosed garden. Within these walls – an exterior room where ceiling is replaced with open sky – the progress of time becomes irrelevant. The chronology of past, present and future is eclipsed and eternity and the moment seem to coincide. Linear time yields to cyclical time.

‘In the enclosed garden a polarity emerges that is its most distinctive quality; the paradox of the infinite and the finite, two extremes heightened by being present at the same time’.
